Beijing religion circle donated to relieve those who suffer from the drought in Southwest and Yushu Earthquake

 On the morning of May 5th, the ceremony of Beijing religion circle donating to relieve those who suffer from the drought in Southwest and Yushu Earthquake was held in Jingmin Hotel. On behalf of those who have faith in religions, the Beijing Patriotic Catholic Association, the Three-self Patriotic Movement Committee of the Protestant Churches of Beijing, the Buddhist Association of Beijing, Beijing Taoism Association and Beijing Islam Association donated 1.6 million Yuan to BCA for the drought in Southwest and Yushu Earthquake.

There were a lot of persons in charge of those commitees attending this ceremony; they were the chairperson of the Beijing Patriotic Catholic Association and Beijing Catholic Business Committee, the bishop of Beijing diocese Li Shan, the secretary general of Beijing Patriotic Catholic Association and Beijing Catholic Business Committee Shi Hongxi, the chairperson of the Three-self Patriotic Movement Committee of the Protestant Churches of Beijing, the secretary of YMCA of Beijing Cai Kui, the chairperson of Beijing Christianity Business Committee Yu Lixin, the secretary general of the Three-self Patriotic Movement Committee of the Protestant Churches of Beijing Yin Huici, the general secretary of YWCA of Beijing Yang Mingming, the deputy chairperson of the Buddhist Association of Beijing, the Buddhist abbot of Guanghua Temple Yixue Master, the chairperson of Beijing Taoism Association Huang Xinyang Taoist, the chairperson of Beijing Islam Association, the Akhond of Niujie Mosque Xue Tianli, the director of Beijing Religion Bureau Shen Jianjun, the duputy director of Beijing Religion Bureau Ma Zhongpu, the executive deputy chairperson of BCA Lei Zhanquan and Zhu Rongxian .

According to the statistics, which was conducted up to May 4th, Beijing religion circle has donated 825005.44 Yuan and 200＄ for the drought in Southwest. Among the fund, the Catholic donated 79461.04 Yuan, the Church donated 411351.7 Yuan, the Buddhist donated 156561 Yuan, the Taoist donated12445 Yuan and the Islam donated 165186.7 Yuan and 200＄. They have also donated 762075.7 Yuan for Yushu Earthquake. Among the fund, the Catholic donated 79277.56 Yuan, the Church donated 536755.14 Yuan, the Buddhist donated 126043 Yuan, the taoist donated 20000Yuan to BCA and 100000 Yuan had been donated to China Taoist Association and the Islam donated 164169.66 Yuan to Xuwu District Charity Association.
