According the instructions of Beijing government, the chairperson of Beijing Charity Association Wang Changlian led a team to participated the activity of “experiencing Chengdu, loving travel” in Chengdu from July 8th to July 11th. The team’s vice captain were the discipline committee clerk of Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau Wang Lixian and the vice director of Beijing Tourism Administrations Bureau. The team was consisted of the earthquake relief work represents of Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, the civil organization represents, the master of travel companies which were subordinate to Beijing Tourism Administrations Bureau and the related media, total 36 persons.
During the July 9th to 10th, the team visited Chengdu, Dujiangyan, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Sanshenghua town and Dayi Jianchuan Museum.
And on July 11th, the team inspected Shifang and the Guangqing Road which was supported by Beijing. They also learned the condition of Jielongju and Luoshui school after earthquake, and expressed their care to the widowed elders who lived in welfare centre and seniors’ home. Furthermore, they gave 140 elders each person 300 Yuan allowance.
On that day, the team also have a interview with the vice mayor Huang Jian of Shifang and the related leaders. Wang Changlian expressed that when they visited the disaster areas of Shifang, they saw Shifang people’s situation in person——“Not only going to carry out the relief work, but also engaging in develop economy”. They felt the building of Shifang was destroyed by the terrify earthquake, but the spirit of Shifang people wasn’t destroyed. The rebuilding work had been started, so we should implement the scheme and demand of Party's Central Committee and The Central People’s Government. As the capital, Beijing would try its best to help Shifang’s rebuilding as soon as possible. We believed Shifang people could win the disaster, because they had the brilliant direct of Party's Central Committee, support from everywhere and the hard work of Shifang people. Shifang people’s life would be much happier surely.
